SPORTA NOZARES VADĪTĀJA / DIRECTOR OF SPORTS:
Liāna Berkolde
Liāna dzima un uzauga Losandželosā, bet tagad dzīvo San Diego. Viņa absolvēja San Diego State Universitāti ar biznesa vadības grādu un pašlaik strādā kā volejbola koordinatore sociālajā sporta kompānijā. Brīvajā laikā Liānai patīk skriet, lasīt, cept, klausīties mūziku, un ceļot. Viņa ir ļoti sajūsmināta piebiedroties ALJAi šogad un palīdzēt planot vairākus sporta pasākumus un turnīrus!

Liāna was born and raised in Los Angeles, and now lives in San Diego. She graduated with a degree in Business Management from San Diego State University and currently works as a volleyball coordinator for a social sports company. In her free time, she likes to run, read, cook, listen to music and travel. She is very excited to join ALJA this year and to help plan various sports events and tournaments!
POLITISKIE PĀRSTĀVJI/ POLITICAL REPRESENTATIVE:
Zīle ir dzimusi un uzaugusi Virdžīnijā, un tagad dzīvo Vašingtona, DC. Viņa absolvēja University of Utah ar politikas zinātnes majoru, un tagad mācās George Washington juridiskajā skolā. Zīlei ir liels gods pievienoties ALJA padomei, un viņa ļoti gaida iespēju veicināt politisko sadarbību ar jauniešiem.

Zīle was born and raised in Virginia, and currently resides in Washington, D.C. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Utah, and is currently attending law school at George Washington University. Zīle is honored to be on the ALJA council, and looks forward to advancing political engagement with American-Latvian youth.

Kārlis Kuškēvics
Kārlis uzauga un dzīvo Vašingtonā D.C un studē starptautiskās attiecības Maryland Universitātē. Brīvajā laikā, viņam patīk sportot, ceļot, iet dabā, dziedāt un klausīties latviešu mūziku. Kārlis gribēja būt daļa no padomes, lai veicinātu organizācijas līdzdalību ASV un Latvijas politikā.

Kārlis grew up and lives in Washington D.C and studies international relations at the University of Maryland. In his free time, he likes to play sports, travel, spend time in nature, sing, and listen to Latvian music. He wanted to be a part of padome to continue building on the important history of Baltic-American activism in the U.S. and Latvian politics.

EMMA SOMBERS
Emma uzauga Ņūdžersijā šobrīd dzīvo Ņujorkā, kur viņa ir Kolumbijas universitātes otrā kursa studente un studē elektroinženieru. Brīvajā laikā Emmai patīk spēlēt ģitāru, hokeju un lasīt. Emma arī dejo ar Ņujorkas tautas dejas grupa “Jumalīte”. Viņa ir patiesi priecīga turpināt darbu ALJA valdē, lai strādātu pie centieniem palīdzēt dažādot un palielināt biedru skaitu, atdot latviešu kopienai un izmantot savu inženiertehnisko aizraušanos, lai uzlabotu ALJA darbību.

Emma grew up in New Jersey and currently lives in New York City where she is a second year grad student at Columbia University, studying electrical engineering. In her free time, Emma loves to play guitar, ice hockey, and read. Emma also dances with New York’s Latvian folk dance group “Jumalīte”. She is really excited to continue her work on ALJA padome to work on efforts to help diversify & increase membership, to give back to the Latvian community, and to use her engineering passions to improve ALJA operations.
Tija Dilba
Tija Dilba uzauga ārpus Bostonas and piedalās St. Anselm koledžā kas atrodas Mančester, NH. Tija studē vides veselība un pievienojās track komandā lecot - pole vault. Tijai patīk kārtslēkšana (pole vault), klausīties mūziku, un iziet ar draugiem. Šī ir Tijas pirmā reizi ALJAs padomē un viņa cer tuvāk apvienot Latviešus un Lietuviešus Amērikā. Tija arī plāno palīdzēt ar sabiedrības informēšanu Bostonā.

Tija grew up outside of Boston and now attends Saint Anselm College in Manchester New Hampshire, majoring in Public Health and is on the track team. Tija likes to pole vault, listen to music, and hang out with her friends in her spare time. This is Tija's first time participating in ALJA and she hopes to help with connecting the Latvians with the Lithuanians around the US and help with Baltic advocacy. Tija also is planning on helping with more outreach to the Latvians in the Boston area.
Laila Goetz
Laila uzauga Karmelā, IN un šobrīd dzīvo West Lafayette, IN kur viņa mācās pirmā gadā Purdue University dzīvnieku zinātnes, un cer iestāties veterināru skolā. Brīvajā laikā, Lailai patīk baudīt laiku ārā, lasīt, dejot tautas dejas un būt kopā ar draugiem un ģimeni. Viņa ir ļoti sajūsmināta pirmo reizi būt daļa no ALJA padomes, un cer palīdzēt sagatavot pasākumus, un dot atpakaļ latviešu sabiedrībai.

Laila grew up in Carmel, IN and currently lives in West Lafayette, IN where she is studying animal science at Purdue University as a first year, in hopes to go to vet school. In her free time, Laila likes to spend time outside, read, dance tautas dejas and be with friends and family. She is very excited to be on ALJA padome for the first time, and hopes to help prepare events, and give back to the Latvian community.
Markus Priede
Markus uzauga Konektikutā, un šobrīd dzīvo Charlotte, NC, kur viņš strādā kā Full Stack Software Inženieris pie Paymentus. Brīvajā laikā, Markus dzied mūzikas grupās—Queen City Vocals un Trejdeviņi—un spēlē klavieres, bass ģitāru, volēju, futbolu un DJ dēli. Kā padomes loceklis, viņš cera izpalīdzēt un uzlabot šī gada latviešu pasākumus.

Markus grew up in Connecticut, and currently lives in Charlotte, NC, where he works as a Full Stack Engineer at Paymentus. In his free time, Markus sings in two musical groups—Queen City Vocals and Trejdeviņi—and enjoys playing piano, bass guitar, volleyball, soccer, and DJing. As a council member, he looks forward to supporting and improving Latvian events throughout the year.
