75 years of keeping Latvian identity alive in America.
Since 1952, ALJA has represented American Latvians ages 16 to 35, gathering members through cultural, social, and athletic events, and awarding scholarships each year for language study and cultural travel. What began as a lifeline for a Soviet-occupied homeland is now a bridge connecting new generations to their heritage.
ALJA is building the foundation that inspires youth to stay involved in Latvian-American organizations, so this community keeps thriving for years to come. Every dollar raised at the 75th Anniversary Gala goes directly toward that work.
